About Us

Welcome to Planting Seeds of Hope Children's Center!  Our mission is to love and accept all children and disciple them in the way of Jesus Christ by engaging them in a creative ministry that provides a safe and enriching place of care and learning.

Planting Seeds of Hope Children's Center was established in 2003, as a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Massillon  to provide quality Christian care for children 6 weeks-12 years of age.  The staff recognizes the importance of balanced growth so they provide opportunities for mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth through a variety of creative experiences.  Children are encouraged to learn and explore at their own speed in areas that interest them.  We believe all children are greatly influenced in their early years.  Thus, it is vital to provide young children with a safe and loving environment where learning is hands-on and developmentally appropriate.

Planting Seeds of Hope is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and participates in Step Up to Quality as a 4 star center.

Center Missions

Grandparent Breakfast

At PSOH we value the importance of family support.  This event allows us to show our appreciation of extended family who we rely on.  It takes a village!  This event usually takes place in September.

St. Jude Trike-a-Thon

St. Jude Trike-a-Thon is a fun service learning project that our Preschool and Pre-K children participate in annually.  Our families raise money to support St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Operation Christmas Child

Children and families have the opportunity to pack a shoe box to be delivered to children around the world who are in need.  More information will be sent home with families in October regarding this opportunity.

Hats and Gloves Collection

During the winter, PSOH collects new hats and gloves to be donated to our local Salvation Army.  Many area children are in need of appropriate winter hats and gloves during this time.

Easter Celebration

PSOH teams up with the First Baptist Church to host a community Easter Celebration.  Families are able to donate eggs and candy to this fun community event!

Red Nose Day

During the month of May, the Preschool & Pre-K children will participate in "Red Nose Day".  This event raises awareness and aims to end childhood hunger.
